    Creativity club (C-Club) is an after school program held at the Dougherty Arts School and at participating AISD elementary schools. Students engage in TEKS aligned arts education through 2D and 3D visual art, digital arts, and performing arts. Creativity Club’s curriculum uses a blended learning model to accommodate different learning styles. Lesson plans are developed by our Instructors in response to themes that emphasize cultural studies, art history and creative techniques. The goal of Creativity Club is to provide students the time and space to develop individual creative expression.

    The Parks and Recreation Department is committed to offering programs that foster Youth Development in a safe and caring environment. We believe in creating opportunities for youth that expose them to critical thinking, leadership development and help them explore their interests through out door enhancements, arts, and active play. Come and experience the spectrum of opportunities with the Parks and Recreation Youth Programs. Pre-registration Required!

    Dittmar Recreation Center is proud to offer After School for youth attending Casey Elementary, Cowan Elementary, Kocurek Elementary, and Williams Elementary Schools. The After School Program is designed to foster development through active play and enrichment activities. The schedule includes: child directed free play, a healthy snack, homework/reading time, staff led active play, and theme based enrichment activities. Participants will ride in a City of Austin 15 passenger van from school to Dittmar Recreation Center.

    Ages: Kindergarten- 5th grade
    Program Time: 2:57pm - 6:00pm (Dittmar Recreation Center staff picks up participants at school)
    Program Dates: Follows AISD calendar
    Fees: $120 (residents*) /$200 (non-residents)
    Deposit: A $100 deposit is required at the time of registration for the Fall semester, August 21st - December 19th. A $100 deposit is required by December 1st for the Spring semester, January 3rd - May 30th. Deposits will be evenly applied ($20) to each month in the semester.

    Payment Information: Monthly payments are due by the 1st of the month. If payment is not made by 6:00pm on the 1st of the month, the participant will be dropped and the spot in the program offered to the participant at the top of the waitlist.

    Registration Begin & End Date(s): Monday, May 1st, 2017 and is ongoing until filled. Waitlist sign-up will be ongoing throughout the school year.
    ____________________Resident Registration begins at 10:00am
    ____________________Non-Resident Registration begins at 12:00pm

    Preregistration required. Program space is limited and registration is first come, first served. When registration opens it is ongoing until the program fills. The program must meet a minimum of 80% of the maximum participants registered two weeks prior to the program start date in order to conduct this program. Participants that register after the program fills will be added to the Waitlist, participants will be contacted in order of the waitlist if a spot becomes available. No deposit is required to be added to the waitlist.

The Teen After School Program is designed to foster development through active play and enrichment activities. The schedule includes: a healthy snack, homework/reading time, staff led active play, and theme based enrichment activities. Participants will ride in a City of Austin 15 passenger van from school to Dittmar Recreation Center.

    Ages: 6th grade- 8th grade
    Program Time: 3:40pm - 6:00pm (Dittmar Recreation Center staff picks up participants at school)
    Program Dates: Follows AISD calendar
    Fees: $100 (residents*) /$170 (non-residents)
    Deposit: A $100 deposit is required at the time of registration for the Fall semester, August 21st - December 19th. A $100 deposit is required by December 1st for the Spring semester, January 3rd - May 30th. Deposits will be evenly applied ($20) to each month in the semester.

    Metz Recreation is proud to offer an after school program for the 2016-2017 school year. Metz will provide pick-up from Metz, Sanchez, Pease and UT Elementary.
    Our after school program is designed to foster youth development through active play and enrichment activities. Our daily activities include: homework/reading time, active play, enrichment activities, gardening, tennis, cooking, arts & crafts and healthy snack time.
    Registration Info
    Online and on site registration for the 2016-2017 After School Program at Metz starts May 2nd at 9:00am and lasts until all spots have filled. Families will need to fill out a new registration form per participant.
